If you have shutters with front tilt/control rods in your home or office, you have probably had to deal with staples coming out of either the rod or louver.
Why most manufactures still use them is up for debate. The truth is the staples are not very durable for the long haul. The replacement process is also not very user friendly; it almost takes surgeon’s hands to replace them and then for how long.
CustomShuttersGuru has the answer to this problem! Introducing our
“Tilt Rod Staple Replacement Specialized Connectors Kit”
The kit contains 10pcs each of brass screw cup hooks and 10pcs of brass screw eyes.
These items take the place of those old staples. They are gold in color. Now on sale priced at $10.50 with included shipping. Tap the link below to see and purchase.
The following are the included simple instructions for replacing the staples with our kit.
Firmly hold shutter tilt/control rod and with pliers begin pulling out the staples from each louver. Once complete remove tilt bar and place to the side for now. With a pencil mark the center between the staple marks on each louver. At the marks take the brass screw eyes from the kit and screw into the marked spot of the louvers with eye pointing straight out from the louvers (see pic). An ice pick or a small nail can be used to make a starting hole. At this time take a small amount of caulking and fill the staple holes on each louver.
Now take the tilt rod and remove the staples in the same manner. Also, in the same manner as before mark the center spot of the staple holes. Next take the brass screw hooks and screw into the tilt rod with the hooks facing straight out from the control rod. At this time apply caulking to the staple holes.
Next, take the tilt/control rod and connect the hook attached to tilt rod into each louver eye screws and with pliers close the hook. (see above pic)
